German-Israeli Cyber Research & Innovation Roundtable at the Cyberweek 2021

At the annual Cyberweek conference hosted by Tel Aviv University in July, the Helmholtz Israel Office in cooperation with the German Embassy in Tel Aviv hosted the hybrid event "Germany - Israel: Cyber Research & Innovation Roundtable". In addition to greetings from Orit Farkash-HaCohen, Israel's Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Andreas Könen (Cyber Director General, BMi) and YigalUnna (Director General, Israel Cyber Directorate), Christoph Müller (DLR) and Prof. Frank Köster (DLR) presented their research work in the fields of Cyber & Aviation and Cyber & Mobility (Gaia-X). A visit of a cyber delegation of DLR as well as a virtual cyber workshop between TAU, Cispa, KIT and DLR are planned for spring 2022.

Bilateral Entrepreneurship-Workshop for Helmholtz scientists and innovation representatives

From October 24-28, the second and expanded (physical) edition of the bilateral entrepreneurshipeducation workshop MIND THE GAP (in cooperation with EIT Israel and HUJI Innovate) took place in Tel Aviv. 18 Helmholtz scientists and innovation representatives from 6 Helmholtz centers participated in the five-day customized program, including the world-leading technology transfer conference ITTN, held in Tel Aviv on October 25, 2021. The Helmholtz Israel Office was an official partner of the conference and was prominently represented with a virtual greeting by Prof. Wiestler, a keynote by Prof. Krause and by the Helmholtz workshop participants.
