Helmholtz Netzwerk - corona diaries #3
Dear participants and alumni of the Helmholtz Leadership Academy,
We have entered a new phase in the corona crisis. We see a first easing of restrictions, which gives us hope, whilst also raising questions and bringing new challenges. Clearly, we are still in the early stages of this pandemic, and facing the reality that – for the near future at least – our work and our private lives will remain very different from what they were before the crisis hit.
Ceremonial Presentation of Certificates: New Date June 16, 2021
Against this background, the ceremonial presentation of certificates to last year's Academy participants, originally planned for this June, has been cancelled. Instead, we are now planning a joint event for next year, which will bring together the cohorts of 2019 and 2020.
Please mark your calendar: Ceremonial Presentation of Certificates, June 16, 2021
#virtual leadership lab: June 10, 2020
The annual network meeting of the Helmholtz Leadership Academy, on the other hand, planned for June 10, 2020, will still take place - but in the form of a #virtual leadership lab. The event offers a range of virtual workshops and lectures on the topic of "Executive Presence: Working and Being Effective as an Executive".
Expect to receive your personal electronic invitation within the next few days. The Leadership Lab 2021 will take place "in real life" again and is scheduled for June 17, 2021.
#virtual leadership chat 3
Our next #virtual leadership chat, this time with ideas and discussions around the topic of "agility", will take place next week. We are looking forward to seeing you again:
Agility as an Opportunity in Times of Crisis
In our usual interactive form, we will share ideas and tips on how agility can virtually support collaboration. Which tools, methods and formats have proven themselves? What support does agile working offer when extreme demands are made on individual and organizational adaptability?
When: April 30, 2020, 15:00 - 16:00 h
In case you have not used zoom before, we recommend checking the security settings of your browser prior to joining the meeting. Zoom works best with Google Chrome.
#leadership insights made by Helmholtz
We would also like to share with you another guideline that was developed by current participants of our program “Führung übernehmen” as as part of their “Leadership Insights” project. It discusses the use of applications such as Slack or Jabber that support direct communication with remote team members and has been published on the HIFIS - Helmholtz Federated IT Services website.
Our thanks go to Maryna Bondarava (HMGU), Martin Hammitzsch (GFZ), Patrick Preuster (FZJ), Carsten Schirnick (GEOMAR) and Mario Strefler (KIT)
