Generation of parametric fuselage models in the Python based development environment PANDORA - Parametric Numerical Design and Optimization Routines for Aircraft (DLR tool). The impacts of ocean fine-scale whirls on climate and ecosystems

WHIRLS is about small processes having large-scale impacts. Heat and carbon are the currencies of regional and global climate, constantly exchanged between the ocean and the atmosphere. This exchange is strongly influenced by fine-scales ocean eddies—whirls—that flux heat and carbon towards, or away from, the air-sea interface.

Innovative modelling and assessment capabilities through MaaS for Manufacturing Ecosystem resiliency

The EU-funded DMaaST project aims to enhance the manufacturing ecosystem’s capacity for self-adaptation. Harnessing a Smart Manufacturing Platform, it introduces four layers of innovation. Firstly, a robust data layer integrates real-time information across organisations. Then, a two-level cognitive digital twin mimics production processes and value chains, bolstered by human expertise and cutting-edge algorithms.
