Great success for Helmholtz with the ERC Advanced Grants

The current call for proposals for the ERC Advanced Grants was a success for Helmholtz: A total of 9 grants were acquired by researchers for the Helmholtz Centres. The ERC awarded 255 grants, 50 of which went to Germany.

The "Advanced Grants" funding line is aimed at established researchers and is funded with up to 2.5 million euros over a period of five years.

With the grants that have now been acquired, the 2023 call year is the most successful ERC year to date for the Helmholtz Centres with a total of 44 grants (14 Starting Grants, 10 Consolidator Grants, 9 Advanced Grants, 7 Synergy Grants, 4 Proof of Concept Grants).
