Helmholtz International Research Schools

Cutting-edge research thrives on the exchange of ideas - even across national borders. That's why we integrate talented researchers into our international networks at an early stage.

For example, doctoral students work together with us in the Helmholtz International Research Schools. We have founded many of these schools together with universities and international partners. They offer excellent supervision, practical training and tailored career support.

Up to 25 doctoral students focus together on one research topic in the schools. This way, they gain important experience in scientific exchange and also expand their professional and personal qualifications through teamwork. In such wise, our graduates are optimally prepared for a career both within and outside academia.

We work closely with the participating research organizations, for example to facilitate research stays with international partners.

Interested doctoral students should contact the Research Schools and Kollegs directly. The announcements are also published in our job exchange.
