SciGRID_gas
SciGRID_gas is the first open-source network model of the European gas transport network. It includes pipelines, compressor stations, entry and exit points, LNG-terminals, storage facilities, and border crossing points.
Simulations based on such data models have a wide range of applications, e.g., they can be used to develop risk scenarios, to model gas transport, and to optimize network expansion and operation.
In addition, the Python-based SciGRID_gas source code is capable to download various online data-sets and to merge them with its own data-sets to provide a comprehensive gas network model.
