Helmholtz-Institut for Polymers in Energy Applications HIPOLE Jena

HIPOLE Jena is the result of a collaboration between the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie (HZB) and the Friedrich Schiller University Jena (FSU Jena). At HIPOLE Jena, scientists are researching new solutions for energy storage and energy conversion. They use polymer materials for this purpose. The aim is to develop highly efficient, scalable, cost-effective and sustainably produced energy technologies. To achieve this, HIPOLE Jena combines expertise in polymer chemistry, materials science, high-throughput experiments and artificial intelligence.
