Young Investigator Workshop

We are proudly to announce the Young Investigator Workshop from 11th January to 16th January 2015 at the Winklmoosalm in Reit im Winkl. The workshop will focus on the themes of our Helmholtz Virtual Institute 419.This includes both experimental and theoretical projects on the dynamics from molecular system to nanomaterials to correlated solids and their fundamental interaction to light. We encourage all PhD, students, master students and young postdocs of the VI partners (care, national and international partners) to participate on this workshop to present and discuss their results in an informal scientific atmosphere.

The Winklmoosalm is located in the Bavarian Alps and  has direct access to the ski area Steinplatte. There are possibilities for skiing (beginners to experts), cross-country skiing and winter hiking.

The workshop format is:

So 11. January - evening: arrival, evening talk, get together
Monday – Thursday:  talks - Outdoor Workshop - Talks
Fr 16. January: departure

Each participant is asked to give a talk (duration 25 minutes, including discussion).

Deadline for the conference abstracts (maximum one page) is 12.12.2014. Please, use the linked abstract template.

The number of participants is limited, therefore: first come, first serve!

The Virtual Institute will cover costs for accommodation and board.
