Workshop devoted to "15 Years of Russian-German Laboratory at BESSY II"
It is our great pleasure to announce the Workshop devoted to "15 Years of Russian-German Laboratory at BESSY II" to be held on December 7-8, 2017 at the BESSY II Facility of Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin, Albert-Einstein-Strasse 15, 12489 Berlin. The venue is located on the Wilhelm-Conrad-Röntgen-Campus in Berlin-Adlershof.
The aims of the workshop are:
- to commemorate Professor Vera K. Adamchuk, the pioneer of Russian – German collaborations in the field of the use of synchrotron radiation and the co-founder of the Russian-German Laboratory at BESSY II, who passed away in fall 2016.
- to highlight recent progress at the Russian-German Laboratory and to discuss with the community the future use of the new undulator beamline that will be available besides the dipole beamline.
- to introduce the community into the future use of the European Free Electron Laser Facility European XFEL.
This event is supported by the German-Russian Interdisciplinary Science Center (G-RISC), an interdisciplinary Russian-German Center of Excellence and Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie GmbH (HZB).
There is a participation fee of EUR 100,-. Invited speakers are exempted from the fee.
