The Helmholtz Association with participating centers has agreed on a joint funding program for Chinese postdocs with the Chinese Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MoHRSS). The program aims to strengthen the scientific cooperation of Helmholtz Centers with Chinese partner institutions. It is jointly administrated with OCPC (Office of China Postdoc Council), a sub-department of the MoHRSS.

The program enables the participating Helmholtz Centers to host up to 35 Chinese postdoctoral fellows every year within projects they are implementing or intend to pursue with partner institutions in China. The young scientists will receive a scholarship and will be able to carry out research work at a Helmholtz Center for up to two years. After their research stay in Germany, it is envisaged that they will return to their home institute and continue to participate in Helmholtz projects. Please download this document for more information on the current call and also refer to the Helmholtz Center of your choice for more information on the Center-specific procedures.
