Use of research infrastructures
The Helmholtz Association installs and operates unique research infrastructures. From synchrotron radiation to production of nano-materials for surfaces, the Helmholtz Centres can make their high-tech available to enterprises from various industries.
Making use of Helmholtz Association research infrastructures:
The offer is aimed not only at large enterprises, but also at small and medium-sized enterprises that have only limited R&D capacity at their disposal. On the basis of the specificity of the respective research devices, each Helmholtz Centre regulates external use independently. Usage consists of co-operation management, assessment and consultation. An overview of the respective application fields, the corresponding infrastructures and the respective contact individuals on site in the centres can be found here
Supportive transfer instruments:
The internal transfer instrument “Helmholtz Innovation Labs“ as well provides physical spaces in which researchers and enterprises can work jointly on solutions. Usage of pre-existing facilities and apparatuses are high priorities, as is access to the expertise of the Helmholtz scientists.
