Our leadership programs combine a number of different learning formats, among them in-class courses (camps) as well as virtual formats at the beginning and end of the program (kick-off and retrospective).

We expect academy participants to be open to new ideas and willing to reflect on their role and tasks as leaders. They should be ready to invest time into developing their leadership skills, not only in class, but also during the preparation and testing phases.

In this program participants will challenge and further develop their personal strategy by making use of different models. Organizational design as a strategic responsibility will be emphasized and embedded in their leadership practice. The importance of networks will be discussed and how to increase leadership impact. Participants will hone their change management capabilities and will acquire additional tools for their leadership toolbox.
In addition, participants of ‘‘Leading with Impact’’ may choose to further drill down on specific topics or issues through virtual ‘‘Deep Dives’’, which are offered following each camp.

REQUIREMENTS: For executives in science, administration and infrastructure with significant leadership experience, who may or may not Iead other executives. This includes department heads in the scientific or ad­ministrative field, heads of infrastructure facilities and larger projects as well as program and topic speakers, who have more than three years of leadership experience and are familiar with the essentials of effective leadership.

Structure: 4 Camps of 2.5 days each (program length:10 months)

Time investment: 14 days incl. preparation and assignments

Participants per program: 15-18

Language: German or English

Fees: 6,300 €* for Helmholtz employees, 12,600 €* for external participants (*excl. VAT)
