Funding for innovative imaging projects

The Helmholtz Association furthers information & data science in all research fields of the Association. The Helmholtz Incubator serves as a key hub to foster these initiatives. To this end, several technology platforms have been developed; they orchestrate research and provide services for the Association.

As part of the various ongoing activities of the Helmholtz Imaging Platform (HIP), Helmholtz provides another round of funding for innovative approaches to imaging. This contributes to a vibrant imaging community in the Association and beyond. HIP Projects promote imaging science and use innovative approaches in information & data science, explore synergies across imaging modalities and applications. They foster cross-disciplinary research and method- as well as pratice transfer. Thus, HIP projects are ideally co-created and iteratively developed with users and non-academic stakeholders such as company partners.

For those interested in the call, there will be two virtual information sessions on 23 August, 26 August and 2 September, 10am-1pm respectively (for details and registration, see HIP website).
