Dr Siegfried Dais is senator of the Helmholtz Association for the research field Energy. He is a limited partner of the Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG
Dais was born in Stuttgart and following his studies in physics, received his doctorate for his work at the Institute of Physics at the Max Planck Institute for Metals Research in Stuttgart. He began his career in the Bosch group in 1979, working at first in the field of advanced engineering for automotive technology. In 1980 he became head of this group, and in 1986 became head of the department for integrated circuit development in the Semiconductors and Electronic Control Units sector. From 1990 he headed the department for advanced automotive engineering and became head of electronic control unit development in the Petrol Engines Control Systems sector in1992. In 1994 he took on the managerial position in the company’s Communication Technology sector.
In 1998 Siegfried Dais was appointed to the Robert Bosch GmbH management board, and was deputy chairman of the board from 2004 to 2012. He has been a limited partner of the Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG since 2007.
