Managing climate change – From regional to global scale

Coordinated actions on a regional and global scale are necessary in order to understand the complex processes of climate change and developappropriate adaption and mitigation strategies. Progress in climatchange research can be achieved only through coordinating activities and pooling existing resources. Two such initiatives of the Helmholtz Association’s Research Centers – the Helmholtz Climate Initiative REKLIM and the Climate Service Center – show how this can be achieved on a national level. In this symposium, experts will also present European initiatives and discuss the potential of climate change research in Europe and its future applications.

"Managing climate change – From regional to global scale" on 2nd December 2010, at the Representation of the Free State of Bavaria to the EU, Brussels.
