Президиум
Членами президиума Объединения им. Гельмгольца являются президент и восемь вице-президентов, а также исполнительный директор. Вице-президенты поддерживают, консультируют и замещают президента при выполнении его задач. К этим задачам относятся реализация программно-целевого финансирования, координация разработки межотраслевых программ и разработка общей стратегии. Каждый из вице-президентов является также координатором одной из шести областей исследования Объединения им. Гельмгольца. Два вице-президента из коммерческо-административной сферы входят также с состав президиума.
