CoReNe: Control of Regulatory Networks with focus on non-coding RNA

- .
Network Coordinators:
Prof. Dr. Hans-Werner Mewes, Helmholtz Zentrum München
Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Wurst, Helmholtz Zentrum München(Deputy Coordinator)
Project Overview:
The interdisciplinary network entitled CoReNe focuses on the integrative interpretation of regulatory networks involved in cell differentiation with focus on the interaction of non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs). Here, the function of ncRNAs is viewed as interference with gene expression (mostly siRNAs).
CoReNe is organized as a network joining molecular biology with theoretical modules organized around a Systems Biology core group headed by Dr. Fabian Theis.
CoReNe wants to focus on distinct aspects of the role of ncRNAs in regulatory networks:
i. the functional interaction of ncRNAs with the systems and sub-systems investigated
ii. the time and space dependency of nc-RNA action
iii. the integration of ncRNAs in qualitative and quantitative models for regulatory networks
Further information on CoReNe can be found under on the networks homepage.
