Subtopic Strategies for bringing renewables onto the market and advising decision-makers

In order to transform the existing energy supply system, political support is necessary and the complex interdependencies between the institutions and other players affected must be taken into account.

The objectives of this work are:

  • the development of a model for simulating the behaviour and interaction of the players in the energy market (an “agent-based model”)
  • the development of a better understanding of the behaviour of the players for various forms of subsidy for renewables (e.g. fixed feed-in tariffs, bonuses for electricity used or marketed by the producer, “green certificates”, et al.).
