CSC PhD Students for Helmholtz

In 2012 the Helmholtz Association was able to attract 37 Chinese PhD students fully funded by CSC – China Scholarship Council. By the end of 2012, Helmholtz Centres had submitted calls for 125 PhD positions to the Helmholtz Beijing Office which in turn informs young Chinese researchers about this opportunity and invites them to apply. The deadline for the submission of funding applications to CSC for PhD fellowships was in March 2013 and the results will be released in mid-May 2013. An increase of successful PhD candidates for the Helmholtz Association in the new round is to be expected.
