Alfred Wegener Institute changed its name
Yet another member of the Helmholtz Association now has adopted the name of the association's namesake to be included in its official denomination: recently, the AWI changed its name to Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research. Thus, 10 of the altogether 18 Helmholtz centres carry the name of "Helmholtz".
