Horst Hippler is the new president of the HRK:

Prof. Dr Horst Hippler, since 2009 one of the KIT's two presidents, was elected to head the Hochschulrektorenkonferenz (HRK – German Rectors' Conference). Hippler succeeds Prof. Dr Margret Wintermantel, who had chaired the HRK since 2006.
