New Funding Programme with China
The long-standing and successful cooperation between the Helmholtz Association and Chinese research institutions is further strengthened by a new funding programme for joint research groups.
The agreement with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) was signed in the summer of 2011 and constitutes joint funding for an initial number of five groups of outstanding scientists over a period of three years. The Helmholtz Association will fund each group with an annual sum of up to 120,000 Euro from out of the Initiative and Networking Fund for a period of three years, while the CAS contributes about 35,000 Euro per year for the same period.
Applications can be submitted up until the cut-off date 15 May 2012.
