New GSI Administrative Director

Since 1 September 2011, Peter Hassenbach is the new administrative director at the GSI Helmholz Centre for Heavy Ion Research GmbH. His career included, amongst other posts, work in the field of transport telematics at DaimlerChrysler AG, Stuttgart. Peter Hassenbach studied economics in Mainz and Bonn and worked as an advisor and head of unit at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Berlin. In 2009, he was made Head of Unit "Food and Renewable Raw Materials" and as of 2010 Head of Unit "Health Industry".
