SETAC Young Scientist Award:

The Board of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry - Europe German Language Branch (SETAC GLB) has awarded this years prize for the best doctoral thesis to Dr Wibke Busch from the Department Bioanalytical Ecotoxicology at the UFZ. She investigated whether and in how far technical nanoparticles used in the carbide metal industry interact with cells and thus can impair the health of human beings and the environment.
