HZB Images Win NMI3 Photographic Competition:

With a photograph showing the neutron reflectometer BioREF from an unusual perspective, Martin Kreuzer has won the first prize in the NMI3 photographic competition. His photograph will adorn the title page of the November issue of the Inside NMI3 magazine. The jury awarded the second prize to three photographers. One of the second prizes went to Marcus Trapp, who likewise had submitted a photograph of the BioREF. Both prize winners work at the Ruprecht Karl University Heidelberg and are cooperation partners in the BioREF project and hence regular users at the HZB's BER II.

The NMI3 photographic competition was held for the first time. NMI3 is a European network that has been established by research institutions and scientists using neutrons and muons for their research. The network is supported by funds from the EU's seventh framework programme.
