Helmholtz Expands PhD Support
The Helmholtz Association is promoting the establishment of three new Helmholtz Graduate Schools and four Helmholtz Research Schools to provide young scientists with optimal support during their postgraduate phase preparing their doctorate degree. Each of these institutions features one or several universities as cooperation partners. The Helmholtz Graduate Schools and Helmholtz Research Schools are funded from the Helmholtz Association's Initiative and Networking Fund with up to 400,000 Euro per year for six years. Including the projects newly admitted to funding, fifteen Helmholtz Research Schools and eleven Helmholtz Graduate Schools soon will be established at the Helmholtz Centres. The aim is to provide structured postgraduate training at all Helmholtz Centres to attract excellent young talents and to support them in the best manner possible.
