Karsten Suhre Receives Gay-Lussac-Humboldt Prize

In Paris on 15 March, Prof. Dr Karsten Suhre from the Institute of Bioinformatics and Systems Biology at the Helmholtz Centre Munich will be presented with one of the Gay-Lussac-Humboldt Prizes 2011. Suhre receives the award in recognition of his long-standing scientific cooperation with French research institutions and his commitment for joint university seminars. The Gay-Lussac-Humboldt Prize is annually awarded by the French Ministry of Research.

Suhre heads the Metabolomics workgroup at the HMGU, is a professor of bioinformatics at the Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich and at the same time also research director at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique. In addition, he is involved with joint study courses in German-French university teaching.
