Comprehensive Pneumology Centre is "Chosen Site"
The translational research centre for pneumology - Comprehensive Pneumology Center (CPC) is a "Chosen Site 2011" in the Germany-wide competition "365 Orte im Land der Ideen" (365 Sites in the Land of Ideas). Under the roof of the CPC, the Helmholtz Zentrum München - German Research Centre for Environmental Health researches together with other partners basic mechanisms of chronic pulmonary diseases and new approaches for their early detection, diagnosis and treatment. The goals and tasks of the research institution include also educational work to raise awareness regarding the prevention of pulmonary diseases.
