Call for Proposals for Alfred Müller Award for Brain Tumour Research:
The German Cancer Research Centre DKFZ and the professional services and accounting firm Ernst & Young jointly invite applications for the Alfred Müller Award endowed with 10,000 Euro, which is granted in recognition of outstanding scientific work in the field of neurooncology. The Alfred Müller Award is intended to distinguish promising young scientists under 40 years of age, who in the past two years have published a pioneering contribution in the area of neurooncology. Scientific publications from the Federal Republic of Germany, Austria and Switzerland are eligible for consideration. The work's focus should be on the successful transfer of research results into potential clinical applications. It is possible to submit a bundle of several publications, provided they feature related content. For a single publication with multiple authors, please specify the candidate’s contribution to the publication. Proposals for award nominees may be submitted by the scientific head of the candidate’s home institution by 30 June 2011.
