New Administrative Director at FAIR:

The physicist Prof. Dr Günther Rosner has been appointed new & Administrative Director of the Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe (FAIR). Günther Rosner studied physics and medicine at the Universities of Munich and Heidelberg. Amongst other assignments, he has worked at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg, at the Argonne National Laboratory, at the Technical University Munich and at the University of Mainz. Since 1999, he holds the "Cargill Chair of Natural Philosophy" at the University of Glasgow. After appointing Prof. Dr Günther Rosner as Research Director as of 1 June 2011, the FAIR Council now made him also the new Administrative Executive Director of FAIR on 1 November 2011.
