Diabetes Research Centre in Munich Opened
On 16 November, the Diabetes Research Department was inaugurated at the Helmholtz Zentrum München. Together with the Ludwig Maximilians University and the Technical University Munich, scientists from various disciplines will in future work together here in four research institutes and two clinical cooperation groups in order to research the cause of diabetes and methods of treatment.
On 7 December 2011, the Bavarian Council of Ministers has approved special funding to the amount of 20 million Euro for the new research building.
