The Helmholtz Association at the annual GAIN conference
As in past years, the Helmholtz Association introduced its research work and programs for young scientists at this year’s annual conference of the German Academic International Network (GAIN). At the event held in Boston, U.S., in September 2010, around 400 German scientists who are currently working in North America met with high-ranking representatives of the German scientific, business and political communities in order to discuss career opportunities in Germany. The conference’s goal is to win back academics for Germany. The annual GAIN conference is organised by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the German Academic Exchange Service and the German Research Foundation as part of their joint GAIN initiative. It receives funding from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
