Helmholtz symposium on the effects of climate change

On 2 December the Helmholtz Association in Brussels will hold a Helmholtz symposium on the global and regional effects of climate change. The event is designed to show that coordinated action at the regional and global levels is necessary to gain an understanding of the complex processes of climate change and to develop appropriate adaptive responses. High-ranking representatives of the European Commission, the EU Parliament and European research institutes, together with political representatives and a range of scientists, are expected to attend the symposium, which is entitled “Managing Climate Change – From Regional to Global Scale.” Registrations are still being accepted.
