Call for Applications: Virtual Institutes
The fifth call for applications for Helmholtz Virtual Institutes has now been published. The role of the Helmholtz Virtual Institutes is to forge a link between the competencies of one or more Helmholtz research centres and one or more universities in order to create an important international centre of excellence. The Impulse and Networking Fund supports such centres over a period of three to five years with a maximum grant of 600,000 euros. Applications for the establishment of a Virtual Institute can only be submitted by the Helmholtz research centres in response to a call for applications by the head office of the Helmholtz Association.
The deadline for applications is 28 January 2011. Two further calls for applications are planned for the coming years.
