Overview

The necessary interdisciplinary collaboration both within and between the three programmes in this field will be maintained and expanded. With their increased focus on the theme of safety research, the individual programmes are pooling and expanding existing expertise on crisis and disaster management and on the infrastructure that is critical to safety.

Aeronautics, space and transport research is represented in the Senate of the Helmholtz Association by the senate members Dr. Detlef Müller-Wiesner and Professor Ulrich Seiffert.
